20年以上前に祖父が作ってくれた四葉のクローバーのしおり
Today is a very special day as it is my grandpa’s 100th birthday.
Although he passed away 16 years ago, he is still (and forever) my hero,
and someone who I look up to very much.
I was very lucky that I lived with my grandparents when I was growing up.
My parents were busy working so my grandparents mostly took care of me and my sister.
Grandpa often took us for walks, and he would tell stories about plants and animals.
We went looking for four-leaf clovers, hiked up the mountains, and watched nature shows together.
All of these precious experiences have huge impacts on who I have become, and what I create today.
今日はとても特別な日で、祖父の100歳の誕生日でした。
祖父は16年前に亡くなりましたが、私の永遠のヒーローで大尊敬する人です。
とても幸運なことに、私は祖父母と一緒に育ちました。父母が仕事で忙しかったので、
主に祖父母が私と姉の面倒を見てくれました。
祖父はよく、私たちを散歩に連れて行って花とか草のお話をしてくれたり、
四葉のクローバー探しに行ったり、山にハイキングに行ったり、
自然のドキュメンタリーを一緒に見たりしました。
この、いま思えばとても懐かしく大切な思い出が、
いまの私という人間と、制作に大きな影響を与えてくれています。
